Outstanding industry players recognized at Bio Taiwan 2018

Taipei, July 19 (CNA) CH Biotech R&D Co., and TaiGen Biotechnology Co. on Thursday received gold awards for their outstanding achievements in the biotechnology industry during the opening ceremony of Bio Taiwan 2018, Asia's leading event for biotech industry, according to the event's organizers.

在台北時間 7月19日，週四， 2018 台灣生物科技大展 (亞洲生物技術產業領先活動) 的開幕式上，正瀚生技股份有限公司 (CH Biotech R＆D Co. ▶️) 和 太景生物科技 (TaiGen Biotechnology Co. ▶️) 因在生物技術產業 (biotech industry) 的傑出表現，獲得主辦單位的金獎。

Foresee Pharmaceuticals Co. and medical devices producer, Wiltrom Co. won the award for biotech companies with the greatest potential, while iXensor, SynCore Biotechnology Co., and TAHO Pharmaceuticals Ltd. clinched innovation awards.

逸達生物科技 (Foresee Pharmaceuticals Co. ▶️) 和 醫療設備製造商 台灣微創 (Wiltrom Co. ▶️) 獲得了最具潛力的生物技術公司獎。而 安盛生科 (iXensor ▶️)、杏國新藥 (SynCore Biotechnology Co. ▶️) 和 泰合生技 (TAHO Pharmaceuticals Ltd. ▶️) 獲得(奪得)了創新獎。

TaiGen was rewarded for developing antibiotics that have been licensed for use in more than 30 countries and for completing a second-stage clinical trial of a new drug for hepatitis C.

太景 (TaiGen) 獲獎的原因，是因為開發的抗生素，已在30多個國家(得到許可證)被獲准使用，且完成C型肝炎新藥的第二期臨床試驗。

The company also plans to submit an application for its newly developed orally administered antiflu drug with the United States Food and Drug Administration's Investigational New Drug (IND) program in 2019.

CH Biotech was recognized for its operational R&D model in Taiwan, production in the United States, and sales around the globe, developing agricultural products to help solve the global aging population, climate change and food shortage problems.

Its partnership with the world's largest provider of crop inputs and services, Nutrien, to sell products to the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Argentina was also one of the reasons it won the award, according to the organizers.

據主辦單位所說，(正翰)獲獎的其中一個原因，是因為他的合作夥伴 Nutrien ▶️，為全球最大的作物進口和服務公司，該公司銷售的對象包含：美國、加拿大、澳大利亞、巴西 和 阿根廷。

As part of Bio Taiwan 2018, an exhibition opened Thursday at Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei and will run until July 22, with 1,400 booths connected to 600 biotchnology companies from countries around the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Germany, the U.S. and Canada.

(另外，有展覽)，作為 2018 台灣生物科技大展 的一部分，週四在台北南港展覽中心開幕，持續到7月22日。(展覽期間)共有1,400個展位與來自世界各國的600家生物技術公司相連，包括：中國、日本、韓國、澳大利亞、德國、美國 和 加拿大。

The exhibition, which showcases biotech products in 12 categories, is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors, according to the organizers.
